Emerging Scenarios for High-Order Harmonic Generation: From Graphene Targets to Special Beams

High-order harmonic generation (HHG) is currently developed as a mature technology for the development of coherent sources of XUV to x-rays. Probably one most relevant properties of HHG is the ability to map some of the characteristics of the infrared driving to the harmonics. This conveys a possibility to control the properties of the short-wavelength emission using infrared optics. In this talk we shall review some of the recent work in our group in this direction, as well as discussing the properties of HHG in new-generation targets (nanostructures and graphene).
