WORKSHOP: The Interaction of Light with Quantum and Topological 2D Materials

June 22nd, 2018 Wednesday June 20 – Friday June 22, ICFO and Hotel Donna

We will hold a rather informal workshop dedicated to the interaction of light with quantum and topological 2D materials. With a format designed to promote discussion and thought, and with a roster of exciting speakers from all around the world, we think this will be a unique and fun event.

Workshop speakers include:

  • Alessandro Principi, University of Manchester (UK)
  • Allan Mcdonald, The University of Texas at Austin (USA)
  • Gennady Shvets, Cornell University (USA)
  • Giovanni Vingale, University of Missouri (USA)
  • Justin Song, Nanyang Technological University (SG)
  • Marco Polini, Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IT)
  • Mark Rudner, Niels Bohr Institute (DK)
  • Mikhail Katsanelson, Radboud University Nijmegen (NL)
  • Nuno Peres, University of Minho (PT)
  • Rainer Hillenbrand, CIC nanoGUNE (ES)
  • Roman Gorbachev, University of Manchester (UK)
  • Sergio Valenzuela, ICN2 (ES)
  • Stampfer Christoph, RWTH Aachen University (DE)
  • Stephan Roche, ICN2 (ES)
ICFOnians are invited to participate in this workshop, however space is limited. Contact Hanan Herzig to register

The workshop program is synced with a special colloquium by Pablo Jarillo-Herrero, MIT (USA) which will take place on Friday June 22 in ICFO’s auditorium. All ICFOnians are encouraged to attend this colloquium for which, as usual, no registration is required.

Host: ICREA Prof at ICFO Dr. Frank Koppens, leader of the Quantum Nano-Optoelectronics research group.
