Hour: From 15:00h to 16:00h
Place: Auditorium
INTERACTIVE DISCUSSION: COLLABORATIVE SCIENCE
Chair: ICREA Prof Dr. Darrick Chang
Panellists:
- Dr. Denitza Denkova, postdoctoral researcher in the SLN team
- Prof. Dr. Pelayo García de Arquer, leader of the CO2 Mitigation Accelerated by Photons group
- Prof. Dr. Nicoletta Liguori, Leader of the Photon Harvesting in Plants and Biomolecules group
- Dr. Clara Vilches, Staff Researcher in the Medical Optics group
At an abstract level, the vast majority of researchers believe in the value of scientific collaboration. At the same time, it is rarely discussed exactly what are the benefits that we can reap, how to effectively engage with others outside your field, how to approach collaborations from a professional standpoint, and how to overcome potential barriers (personal, institutional, structural) to fruitful collaboration. During this interactive session, we aim to explore these themes in more detail.
There will be a coffee break in the NEST HALL immediately following this discussion for all participants to keep the conversation going.
