Phase diagram of D-dimensional dirty (disordered) bosons at zero temperature

Disordered ultra-cold atomic gases

Group Association:

Description of Activities:

The physics of ultracold gases entered a new phase in which it is merging with condensed matter and solid state physics, quantum information and even high energy physics. In particular, ultra-cold gases in optical lattices can be used as quantum simulators of various versions of Hubbard models. Particularly interesting is here the possibility of studying influence of disorder on such systems. In this project we investigate the possibilities for generation and analysis of various types of glasses (Bose-Anderson, Lifhsits, and spin glasses), quantum percolating systems, quantum localized systems, and disordered superconductors
