ESP Young Investigator Award 2025
ICFO Prof. Nicoletta Liguori Receives European Society for Photobiology Young Investigator Award
The European Society for Photobiology (ESP) aims to coordinate and promote all aspects of photobiology in Europe, maximizing its scientific, technological, and medical impact. As part of its ongoing commitment to advancing the field, the ESP presents the Young Investigator Award to an early-career researcher who has carried out original, high-quality research in photobiology-related fields.
We are proud to share that Prof. Dr. Nicoletta Liguori, leader of the Photon Harvesting in Plants and Biomolecules research group at ICFO, has been selected as one of the 2025 awardees, alongside Antonio Francés-Monerris from ICMol – The Institute of Molecular Science.
“I am honoured and thankful to receive the ESP Young Investigator Award. This recognition strongly motivates my newly established group at ICFO and boosts our opportunities to share the spectroscopic and computational methods we are developing and applying for the photosynthesis community and the broader one of photobiology.”
— Prof. Dr. Nicoletta Liguori
The award will be officially presented at the ESP 2025 Congress in Bari, where Prof. Liguori and Prof. Francés-Monerris will deliver the keynote lecture.
Congratulations, Nicoletta, on this well-deserved recognition!
