Optical tweezers and their multiple applications have been described in an article by Octavi Planells in the Spanish newspaper El Periódico. The feature mentions the research performed by Prof. Dmitri Petrov’s group, in particular the Raman Spectroscopy of red blood cells trapped through optical tweezers. It also focuses on the applications of plasmonics to particle trapping developed in Prof. Romain Quidant’s group, especially in regard to the development of lab-on-a-chip technologies.
