CGIA tours graphene related facilities in Catalonia Following a strong presence at the Graphene 2014 Conference in Toulouse, the China Innovation Alliance of the Graphene Industry (CGIA) visited two research centers in Catalonia, ICFO and ICN2, both of which are playing leadership roles in the FET Graphene Flagship program. At ICFO, CGIA visited the laboratory of the Nano-optoelectronics group led by Nest Fellow, Professor Frank Koppens.

The China Innovation Alliance of the Graphene Industry (CGIA) is a consortium of Chinese companies, academic institutions, and research organizations that focus on the research and development of graphene and graphene-based products. Established in July 2013 with support from the Chinese government and the National Natural Science Foundation, CGIA is the world’s first association dedicated to the graphene industry in China. The alliance consists of committees for technology, quality assurance, patents, resources, industry promotion, and international cooperation.
