2016 marked the first International Day for Women and Girls in Science, established by the United Nations Member States to recognize the critical role that women and girls play in science and technology around the globe. In honor of this day, ICFOnians have created a video that highlights the passion for discovery of scientists working at ICFO.
As part of the celebration of this International Day, we pause to consider the challenges that remain for women in science; there is still a lot of work to do to support and promote the participation of women and girls in science, technology, engineering and mathematics activities at all levels.
