Perspective on Photonics in Neurology and Neurocritical Care: Upcoming Annual Meeting of the Barcelona Medical Photonics Network

The Barcelona Medical Photonics Network aims to bring cutting-edge photonic technologies to clinical research and ultimately to routine clinical use through the interdisciplinary cooperation of eight prominent health institutions in Barcelona, their research institutes and ICFO.  It is part of a broader framework involving other disciplines and the industry.

On the 7th of April 2022, the BMPN will host its annual meeting at CosmoCaixa, with a special focus on non-invasive brain monitoring in neurocritical care, clinical neurology and neurosciences.

The program will address a broad audience and includes several talks by leading clinicians and researchers of the network, experts in the field. The invited keynote talk will be given by Prof. Antonio Belli, Professor of Trauma Neurosurgery at the University of Birmingham and Director of the NHIR Surgical Reconstruction and Microbiology Research Centre, and will focus on optical neuromonitoring in mild traumatic brain injury.

The goal of the event is to bring members of the BMPN network and others together, to strengthen existing collaborations and initiate new ones. This event is in-person and open to everyone interested.

If you would like to attend the meeting, please register before the end of March.

Hour: From 09:00h to 15:00h
