ICFO Schools on the Frontiers of Light (3-6 July, 2017)
ICFO has launched this year’s ICFO Schools on the Frontiers of Light
March 31, 2017
Supported by the Fundació Catalunya – La Pedrera • Ignacio Cirac Program Chair, the Frontiers Schools aim at giving talented young researchers and students worldwide a first introduction to a thematic research area and a taste of an international research environment. They will incorporate a dynamic and social learning environment beyond participating in lectures, including group discussions, direct interactions with the lecturers, student talks, poster presentations, and visits to labs.
The 2017 ICFO Master School on New Frontiers in Optical Trapping and Optical Manipulation is open to a limited number of students, selected on the basis of academic merit, and International Travel Fellowships are available to outstanding applicants from around the world.
This year’s school will include a symposium on Friday 7 July with invited talks from leading international researchers, held in honour of our late colleague Prof. Dmitri Petrov.
The deadline for applications is Friday 28 April 2017.
