The People, Education and Culture Area supports the education and professional development of ICFOnians across all career stages, driving excellence in research training, talent development, and organizational culture.

We are committed to attracting outstanding individuals, empowering their growth, and cultivating an inclusive and collaborative environment where people thrive and science flourishes. Our work encompasses:

· Research Training: Implementing a high-quality graduate education portfolio, including the PhD Program in Photonics, master’s programs in collaboration with university partners in the local ecosystem, and postdoctoral training, and contribute to national and international academic partnerships.

· Talent Attraction: Proactively identifying and recruit exceptional students, researchers, and staff from around the world, ensuring a diverse and competitive talent pipeline.

· Professional Development: Supporting the growth of research and operational teams through targeted initiatives in mentoring, leadership, transferable skills, and career development.

· Organizational Culture: Fostering a values-driven institutional culture grounded in research and professional excellence, a spirit of autonomy and collaboration, and a strong sense of equity, well-being, and community engagement through initiatives that enhance belonging, communication, and institutional cohesion, from onboarding to alumni relations.
