Our experiments aim at exploring the interaction between a nano-mechanical oscillator and a single quantum system in the form of a NV defect in diamond.
I will first introduce how mechanical motion influences and can be read through the spin and fluorescence properties of aNV defect coupled to a nanoresonator.
Then I will present a new mechanism that allows synchronizing the spin dynamics on an emulated mechanical oscillation. Finally I will present an ultrasensitive optical detection of nanoresonators vibrations, which allows imaging optical forces and exploring motion in a non conservative force field.
