Our field of interest is the study of tumor cell proliferation using 3D MCTS (MultiCellular Tumor Spheroid). We study cell cycle control and checkpoint regulation in response to intra- and extra-cellular cues with the aim of identifying 3D specific regulatory mechanisms. This project relies on the development of SPIM 3D light sheet fluorescence microscopy. We will present our most recent advances in instrumental development (adaptive optics, natural guide stars, …) and in the use of SPIM to study the regionalization of the proliferation and to perform time-lapse imaging of mitosis within spheroids.
