The Quantum Flagship is one of the most ambitious initiatives of the European Union with a budget of 1b€ and a duration of 10 years. The main objective of this initiative is to transfer quantum physics research from the laboratory to the market through commercial applications.
The launch event will be held at the historic site of Hofburg and will summon the most relevant quantum physicists and technologists in Europe, as well as policy makers, quantum technology educators, industry representatives associated with flagship, as well as members of government (including several ministries, secretaries of state).
Agenda
The event will be comprised of two sessions: a morning session, dedicated to presentations of the different projects that have been selected for the first phase of execution, as well as technical and networking sessions. Consequently, a session in the afternoon, focused on an institutional event that will lead to the festive opening of the Quantum Flagship, in which prominent academic and industrial leaders as well as political representatives will talk about the vision and potential of quantum technologies.
