Using the film(movie) 'what the bleep do we know?' as a starting point, I briefly analyze the recent phenomenon of the appearece of different organizations or cults that try to use quantum mechanics to justify their philosofical or religious precepts. I review their main ideas and show how most of them either are a misunderstanding of basic principles of quantum mechanics or they can logically lead to absurd situations.
