Class 5 Photonics delivers ultrafast, high-power laser systems and EUV sources for demanding applications from bio-imaging to ultrafast material science and attosecond science. Class 5 Photonics' technology platform are optical parametric chirped pulse amplifiers (OPCPA) delivering femtosecond pulses at extreme power at extreme wavelengths from EUV to mid-IR. For over 10 years the Class 5 Photonics team builds robust OPCPAs which already won awards for their high performance. The company was founded in 2014 as spin-off of the synchrotron laboratory Deutsches Elektronensynchrotron DESY and the Helmholtz-Institute Jena.
