BIST-ESADE From Science to Business 2022
The upcoming activity of ICFO’s Plus+ Training Program within the business pillar: ICFO-ESADE: From Science to Business, a 4 days program whose description is attached. The program, created by ICFO in 2008 is now in its 12th Edition, and since 6 years ago it is happening annually jointly with the BIST centers.
The activity will be held on October 4-5, 13-14 2022, at ESADE premises in Pedralbes, Barcelona.
A networking event & round table discussion with local entrepreneurs will be organized during the evening of October 3rd. A hands-on project workshop is included in the program. The activity will be free of charge for the awardees.
We will be able to provide up to 3 grants to ICFOnians interested in attending. If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit to ktt@icfo.eu your grant application by filling in the attached form.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION is June 15th, 2022. Awardees will be informed by mid-July.
Addressed to: Senior and postdoctoral researchers, staff and graduating doctoral students, members of the BIST community. Researchers from other institutions are also welcome upon request and subject to availability.
From Science to Business 2022 will prepare participants to:
- Get acquainted with the business world and learn how companies create value for society and for themselves: providing more, better and healthier food, a cleaner, healthier and safer environment, and a better quality of life and wealth.
- Understand the framework within which companies work and how they create value in a competitive environment.
- Get a hands-on approach to the new venture creation process in the workshop session, and the role that science/technology plays in it.
- See that new venture creation needs scientists and engineers, and that entrepreneurship can be an attractive career path

- Welcome event: 3 October 2022
- Classes and workshop: 4, 5, 13, 14 October 2022, from 9:00h -18:00h (except Friday 14: from 9:00h -14:00h)
