SUMMER LECTURE: Looking inside our bodies with life in health and in disease
How can we measure clinically relevant parameters with light from tissues as deep as several centimeters? What kind of information can we learn with this about well-being and can we diagnose or treat diseases?
These are questions that do not have obvious answers but they are the core of our research at ICFO. I will provide the basics and demonstrate their utility with a plenty of clinical examples. You may not end up knowing how to read the brains of Precognitives but you will know why Elliot's hand was glowing red when E.T touched it and how that may help the management of COVID-19 patients.
