Title: "Distributing Photon-Matter Entanglement outside the Lab"

Abstract: We created time-bin-entangled photon pairs, of which one is at the wavelength and bandwidth compatible with our quantum memories (606 nm, orange) and the other is at the wavelength which propagates best through optical fibers (1550 nm).  I will describe several experiments, storing one photon in our solid-state quantum memory and letting the other propagate through a long fiber, while preserving the time-bin entanglement. The basis for the talk is this paper: https://opg.optica.org/opticaq/fulltext.cfm?uri=opticaq-1-2-94

Bio:  After completing my MSc in plasma physics, simulating the propagation of microwaves in a turbulent plasma, I changed to experimental physics for my PhD. I received my PhD from University of Vienna, working on quantum communication networks and polarization-entangled photon pair-sources. Since 2020 I am working in the group of Prof. Hugues de Riedmatten at ICFO on solid-state quantum memories and quantum frequency conversion.
