New researchers and a project engineer have joined ICFO.

Three Postdoctoral researchers,
Dr. Gerald John Lapeyre,
Dr. Joyee Ghosh and
Dr. Gabriele Anzolin;
and one project research engineer, Ms. Anne Gómez Juan,
have joined ICFO.
Dr. Gerald John Lapeyre joins Prof. Maciej Lewenstein’s group and Prof. Antonio Acin’s group as a postdoctoral researcher. Dr. Lapeyre will be working on the characterization of multipartite entangled states. In particular, he will explore the application of Statistical Mechanics techniques and concepts to the study of these states.
Dr. Joyee Ghosh joins Prof. Jürgen Eschner’s group as a postdoctoral researcher. Dr. Ghosh received her PhD degree from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India, working on coherent optical phenomena in atomic gases. She carried out some of her experimental work at the CNRS Laboratoire Aimé Cotton, Orsay, France. She will join the team conducting research in the generation of single photons and their controlled coupling to single ions.
Dr. Gabriele Anzolin joins Prof. Morgan Mitchell’s group as a postdoctoral researcher. Anzolin received his Ph.D. in Astronomy from the University of Padova, Italy. He is working on free-space quantum communications using high-brightness quantum light sources.
Ms. Anne Gomez Juan is a French engineer who will work in Prof. Valerio Pruneri’s group on the VISION industrial project. She will contribute to the development of electrically controlled light deflectors for 3-D displays.
