The workshop focuses on the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF). You will receive practical tips from an experienced EC evaluator on how to write a competitive proposal.

It is assumed that participants will already understand the basic requirements for MSCA-PF, but in any case, the workshop will highlight any changes in the new Horizon Europe MSCA Work Programme for the current year.

Trainer: Dr. Kathrine Halbert

Catherine (BSc, MSc, PhD, FRSH), is the founder of Halbert Research, a consultancy company specializing in scientific research management and EU research funding, in particular Horizon 2020.  Established in 2005, Halbert Research provides workshops and coaching for researchers; proposal evaluations, proof-reading and editing services; and project management and communication support. They work across all scientific disciplines and have an excellent track record in helping European and international clients to win funding. Catherine has been active in EU Funding Programs since 1996 and works with the European Commission as an Expert Evaluator and Reviewer. She is a member of the EC H2020 2020 Advisory Group for ‘Food security, sustainable agriculture and forestry, marine and maritime and inland water research and the bioeconomy’. Catherine has more than 25 years’ experience in research management in academic and industrial settings. She is particularly interested in mentoring early- and mid-career researchers in developing project ideas and writing grant applications, as part of their career development planning.
