Seminars from specialized trainers and alumni help ICFOnians map out their next career options.

CFO PhD students and researchers develop individually tailored career development plans in conversation with their Group Leader, which are monitored and updated regularly, and supported by a strong mentoring programme to ensure they receive the best possible support, feedback and advice during their time at ICFO.

Future job opportunities are passed on through the Alumni and CLP programme to ensure a smooth career transition following graduation. An ongoing life-long connection to the institute is provided through the Alumni programme, which includes regular seminars with Alumni, and an annual Beyond ICFO careers day.

In addition, ICFO alumni serve as mentors for late-stage PhD students and postdoctoral researchers participating in the ICFO Mentoring Programme. Through these mentoring relationships, participants can explore career paths both within and beyond academia while benefiting from the global networking opportunities offered by the ICFO alumni community.
