PARISA FARZAM

Director of AI in Medical Imaging Product at Bayer

Come and meet ICFO PhD graduate Parisa Farzam over coffee! Parisa is a PhD graduate from Medical Optics research group at ICFO. She will share her career experience in academia and R&D in industry.

Parisa received her PhD from ICFO in 2014 at the Medical Optics research group led by Prof Turgut Durduran. After her PhD, she moved to Switzerland for a year as a Postdoc in Medical Optics at the University of Bern. Then, she joined Harvard Medical School as a Research Fellow with a joint appointment at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham Health.

In 2019, she moved to IBM as a Data Scientist to develop AI solutions for medical imaging, where she led the clinical collaborations efforts at IBM Watson Health Imaging.

This 2022, Parisa was appointed Director of AI in Medical Imaging Product at Bayer.
