Along her path as a researcher, and largely due to personal experience, she grew an interest in the individual and collective dynamics of early career researchers within the academic system. Ana joined the Office of Intramural Training and Education (OITE) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2019, which propelled her interest in supporting scientists thrive in their careers while developing strategies to promote institutional change. After returning to the Iberian Peninsula and working in the People team at CICenergiGUNE, Ana joined VHIO Academy, the education & training department at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) in Barcelona as a Research Culture & Development Officer.
